ELECTION EVE COMMUNITY GATHERING

Interfaith Alliance of Iowa is organizing an Election Eve Community Gathering in Des Moines at 5:30 PM on Monday, November 2 (location TBA).  It will be a pro-democracy celebration promoting the right to vote with inspirational offerings to spread the hope and peace for our community and country. We will celebrate those who voted early, encourage all others to vote on Election Day, and call for all of us to help our family, friends, and neighbors cast their ballots. Of course we will also call out and denounce any signs of intimidation and harassment at the polls. It will be joyful singing, inspiring words, and light in the darkness (with battery-operated candles and lights from our phones). Plan to join us. We’ll provide the location in the coming days.
