Respect all Families

Marriage is about commitment and responsibility.  It is about building a life together and taking care of the ones you love.   All couples need the security and legal protections of a civil marriage to help make this possible.

Religion is often misused as the basis for denying gay and lesbian couples the right to marry.   We believe religion should be a healing tool which brings people together through our common values and should not be used in a divisive manner.

It is critical that every child be given the opportunity to grow up in a loving, stable household.  Marriage is one way to accomplish that stability for children and strengthen families.  Same-gender couples with children benefit greatly because of the social and financial benefits provided when they are civilly married.

It is vital that the Faithful Voices of Iowans be heard across our state in support of committed gay and lesbian couples who seek to retain equal recognition and protection of the privileges and rights of civil marriage.

Faithful Voices

People of faith and goodwill from across Iowa are joining together to strengthen the public's support of marriage equality.  Speaking out! Signing the Marriage Equality Pledge!  Starting a conversation in their community or House of Worship. Check out the Faithful Voices website and join our Activist email list so you can receive information about how you can be involved and make a difference!
